Intentional & Holistic Approach to Cultivating Character
At Baylor, character formation is embedded throughout the student experience. Character in Deeds is a grant funded initiative that convenes leaders across academics, student life, and athletics to strengthen coordination and advance a holistic, mission-aligned, institution-wide approach to character education.
Our aim is continuity — ensuring that the formative work already taking place across campus becomes more intentional, aligned, and cumulative.
In alignment with Baylor in Deeds, this initiative seeks to:
Develop a shared vision and language for character formation
Strengthen alignment across character initiatives
Support leaders in intentionally designing formative experiences
Promote continuity across academic and co-curricular contexts
Our goal is to empower those already shaping students’ lives to do so with greater clarity and shared purpose so that when students leave Baylor, they can articulate not only what they learned, but how they were formed.
